The Ricky Gervais Show earns Emmy nomination
The Ricky Gervais Show, which airs on HBO, has been nominated for an Emmy Award in the ‘Outstanding Animated Program’ category for his “Knob At Night,” episode!
But Gervais faces some tough competition in the category, including Alien Earths; Disney Prep & Landing; The Simpsons “Once Upon A Time In Springfield;” and South Park’s “200/201.”
Last year, South Park walked away with the victory, and in 2008 The Simpsons won. Click here to see the full list of winners from 1979-2009.
The 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards airs live on NBC on Sunday, Aug. 29.
Just a month after the award ceremony, Gervais will be back in the states for three performances at the Chicago Theatre on Sept. 29-30 and Oct. 1. You can get tickets through GreatSeats.com, a national ticket broker who carries comedy tickets for other touring acts including Craig Ferguson and Kathy Griffin.
